Samyang Buldak wholesale buying guide

Everything an importer, distributor or retailer needs before placing a first Samyang Buldak order — what the range covers, what it costs by the carton, and what the commercial terms actually are.

Buldak is Samyang's stir-fried hot chicken noodle line, and it is the product that took Korean instant noodles from an ethnic-aisle staple to a mainstream category. For a wholesale buyer that matters commercially: demand already exists in most markets, so the question is usually which formats and flavours to stock rather than whether the category will move.

This guide covers the range we supply, how pricing works by the carton, the terms that apply to every order, and how to size a first shipment.

What the range covers

We stock 29 lines across four ranges. Every product is manufactured by Samyang Foods Co., Ltd. in South Korea and supplied in the manufacturer's own retail packaging.

The four ranges
RangeLines Units per carton
Packet Ramen 15 40 packs
Cup Noodles 4 30 cups
Bowl Series 7 16 bowls
Sauce Bottles 3 24 bottles

Formats differ in cost per portion and in which retail channel they suit — see packet vs cup vs bowl for the comparison, and the full catalogue for every line.

How wholesale pricing works

Prices are quoted per carton in USD, on request rather than published, and exclude freight, insurance and any duties or clearance charges at destination. Those are quoted separately once the destination port is known, because they depend on route, volume and the importing country's tariff treatment of instant noodles — not on the goods themselves.

Tiered discounts apply above the minimum. The practical effect is that consolidating volume into fewer, larger shipments beats spreading the same annual quantity across many small ones.

Sizing a first order

200 cartons sounds larger than it is. On the packet range that is 8,000 individual packs — meaningful volume, but spread across 15 available flavours it is only a few hundred of each. Most first orders do the opposite: three or four flavours with real depth, so each one gets a proper trial on shelf.

A workable opening structure is to put the bulk of the order behind the original hot chicken flavour and one mild line such as carbonara, add one heat line such as 2X Spicy for the customers who buy on that alone, and one distinctly Korean line such as kimchi. If you supply convenience as well as grocery, add cups in the same flavours so the shelf reads consistently. Minimum order quantity breaks the figure down further.

What happens after you inquire

Send the products, quantities and destination port through the inquiry form and you receive a quotation covering goods and freight. If you accept, a Proforma Invoice follows, then payment by tt bank transfer, then production, inspection and loading. The full sequence including documentation is set out in how wholesale ordering works, and freight options are covered in shipping and delivery.

If it is easier to talk it through, we answer on WhatsApp at +66 96 413 7485 or by email at [email protected].

Common questions

What is the minimum order for Samyang Buldak wholesale?
200 cartons. The minimum applies to the order as a whole, not per flavour or per category, so a single container can mix packet ramen, cup noodles, bowl noodles and hot sauces freely.
How is a Samyang Buldak wholesale order quoted?
Per carton, in USD, against the order in front of us — the flavours, the carton quantities and the destination port all move the figure, so there is no single list price that would be honest for every buyer. Send those three things through the inquiry form and the quotation sets out goods, freight, insurance and any duties at destination separately.
What is the shelf life of Samyang Buldak products?
10–12 months from production. Stock is rotated, so cartons ship with the majority of that window remaining.
Where do the goods ship from?
Products are manufactured by Samyang Foods Co., Ltd. in South Korea. Consignments load ex Laem Chabang Port, Thailand.
What payment terms apply?
TT bank transfer. Full terms are set out on the quotation and Proforma Invoice before any payment is made.
How long does an order take to prepare?
7–10 days preparation + sea transit. Air freight is available where the timing justifies the cost — tell us your deadline and we will quote both.
Are these products authentic Samyang?
Yes. Every product in the catalogue is manufactured by Samyang Foods Co., Ltd. in South Korea in the manufacturer’s own retail packaging.
